Thor: The Dark World trailer UK — Official Marvel | HD (by MarvelUK)
“It’s easy to forget how much the comic stylings of the 60’s and 70’s have inspired modern films and just how timeless those two-dimensional, spandex-clad superheroes can be. This series replaces live action with the lines they were born from, interlacing cinematography with storyboard.
“A true homage to Kirby, Ditko, Romita Sr. and all the other artists that kept inspiring and being a reference to the modern media. And all of us.”

Omega the Unknown by Jonathan Lethem
My rating: 1 of 5 stars
A comic for hipster tourists - readers who think that Lethem (whom I like and admire as a prose writer) is bringing something new and interesting to the medium, blissfully unaware that such obvious runs as Shade, The Changing Man and The Doom Patrol were running over this ground years ago (decades now!), to much better effect.
This is an amateur, disjointed mess; Lethem’s messy scripting - lack of plot, pace and character (and using surrealism and absurdism as crutches to excuse such), coupled with an almost complete disregard for the conventions of the medium - combines with Dalrymple’s indistinct and unlovely art to make something that has very little, if anything, to recommend it.
